Payment Methods

Merenlo offers several payment options for orders placed through merenlo.co.uk. The payment methods actually available for your specific order are always the methods displayed at checkout.

Accepted payment methods

Depending on your device, browser and checkout eligibility, the following payment methods may be available:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Maestro, where available and supported
  • PayPal
  • Shop Pay

Some payment methods, particularly digital wallets, depend on your device, browser or payment-provider eligibility. If a payment method is not shown during checkout, it is not available for that particular order.

Secure payment processing

Payments are processed through Shopify Payments and other supported payment providers made available through our checkout.

Merenlo does not store your full card details on its website. Your payment may also be subject to security or verification checks performed by your bank, card issuer or payment provider before the transaction is completed.

Payment currency

The currency used at checkout depends on your market:

  • United Kingdom: pounds sterling (GBP)
  • Republic of Ireland: euro (EUR)

The applicable currency and total amount payable are shown at checkout before you place your order.

If your card or payment account uses another currency, your bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or additional currency-conversion charges. Any such external charges are determined by the relevant bank or payment provider and are not charged by Merenlo.

When is payment taken?

Payment is normally taken when you place your order through checkout. After your order has been submitted, an order confirmation will be sent to the email address provided during checkout.

Apple Pay and Google Pay

Apple Pay and Google Pay may appear when they are supported by your device, browser and checkout configuration.

If a wallet does not appear as an available option, please choose one of the other payment methods shown at checkout.

PayPal

Where PayPal is displayed at checkout, you can select it as your payment method and follow the instructions provided during the payment process.

Availability remains subject to the checkout and any requirements applied by PayPal to your account or transaction.

Shop Pay

Shop Pay may be available as an accelerated checkout option. Its availability can depend on your checkout details and eligibility.

The options shown at checkout are always the final payment options available for your order.

Payment problems

If your payment is declined or cannot be completed, please check:

  • that your payment details have been entered correctly;
  • that your billing information is correct;
  • whether your bank or payment provider is requesting additional verification;
  • whether the selected payment method is still available at checkout.

Payments outside checkout

Please only make payments through the official Merenlo checkout. Merenlo does not accept payments sent through email or social-media messages, manual bank transfers, cheques or cash on delivery.

Refunds

When a refund is due, it is normally returned to the original payment method used for the order and in the applicable order currency, subject to applicable consumer law and payment-provider rules.

After Merenlo has issued a refund, your bank or payment provider may require additional processing time before the amount becomes visible in your account.
