Right of Withdrawal
This page explains the statutory right to cancel certain distance contracts for consumers in the Republic of Ireland.
Where the statutory right applies, you normally have 14 days after the day you receive the goods to inform Merenlo that you wish to cancel the contract. You do not need to give a reason.
This statutory right is separate from Merenlo's voluntary 30-day return policy. The voluntary policy does not reduce your statutory rights.

If goods have already been received, they must normally be returned without undue delay and no later than 14 days after informing Merenlo of the cancellation.
Other ways to exercise your cancellation right
You are not required to use the online cancellation function.
You may also inform Merenlo of your decision to cancel by sending a clear and unequivocal statement to:
You may also use the model withdrawal form provided below. Use of the model form is optional.
Returning goods after cancellation
After informing Merenlo of your decision to cancel, you must return the goods without undue delay and normally no later than 14 days after the day on which you informed Merenlo of the cancellation.
The deadline is met if the goods are sent before that 14-day return period expires.
For ordinary change-of-mind cancellation, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods where applicable law permits this.
We recommend retaining reliable proof of dispatch.

This is Merenlo's designated customer return address. It is separate from BJ-Ecom B.V.'s registered business address in the Netherlands.
Do not send a return to the registered business address in Zoetermeer unless Merenlo has expressly instructed you to do so for that specific return.
Handling the goods
During the statutory cancellation period, you may inspect and handle the goods only to the extent reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning, broadly comparable to what you could reasonably do in a physical shop.
If goods have been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary for that purpose, Merenlo may make a lawful deduction for any resulting reduction in value where applicable law permits this.
Refund following statutory cancellation
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, Merenlo will reimburse payments received for the cancelled goods, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery method offered for the order where required by applicable law.
Additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery option than Merenlo's least expensive standard option do not have to be reimbursed.
Reimbursement will be made without undue delay and, subject to the lawful right to withhold reimbursement until the goods or evidence of return are received, no later than the applicable statutory deadline.
The refund will normally be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction unless another method has been expressly agreed and does not result in fees to the consumer.
Exceptions
The statutory cancellation right does not apply where a lawful statutory exception applies.
Examples may include:
- goods made to your specifications or clearly personalised;
- sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons after the seal has been broken, where the statutory conditions for that exception are satisfied;
- other contracts expressly excluded under applicable consumer law.
Merenlo does not apply a blanket statutory cancellation exclusion merely because an item is discounted, swimwear, underwear, footwear or an accessory.
Model withdrawal form
You may use the EU model withdrawal form if you wish. Use of the form is optional.
Merenlo's voluntary 30-day return policy
Merenlo also provides a voluntary return policy for up to 30 days after delivery.
This additional commercial policy is separate from statutory cancellation rights and does not reduce them.
A return made after day 14 is not automatically a voluntary return. If you exercised your statutory cancellation right within the applicable cancellation period and are still within the statutory period for returning the goods, the statutory rules continue to apply.
